A sterling silver ring with a hand carved pattern design and a deep setting holding a broilet, faceted cut, London blue Topaz 12mm x 10mm.
Topaz is a strong silicate mineral made of aluminium and fluorine. The alluring dark blue colour of London blue topaz is natural but enhanced by heat treatment.
The ancient Romans believed that topaz provided protection from danger while traveling. During the Middle Ages, it was believed that attaching topaz to the left arm protected the owner from any curse and warded off the evil eye.
Our signature style is a simple series of lines and geometric shapes that create an interwoven feeling of depth, evoking runic symbols and the spirit of patterns from ancient cultures. These markings are inscribed over smooth contours and framed by borders that are reminiscent of Celtic panels and heraldic armour.
Our silver jewellery is pre-aged to have a slightly lived in feel. It is oxidised so the pattern lines stand out. The top surface is brightly polished and softly distressed. As your item is worn it will continue to look this way with any little knocks and scrapes adding to its timeless presence.
We love the deep blue lustre from this gemstone with the subtle faceted glint emerging from the deep, protected setting.
Please allow up to four weeks for your item to be made and sized before shipping.
